Sheep's Head, also known as Muntervary (Irish: Rinn Mhuintir Bháire), is the headland at the end of the Sheep's Head peninsula situated between Bantry Bay and Dunmanus Bay in County Cork, Ireland.

 

 

The peninsula is popular with walkers of all abilities the main Sheep’s Head Way walk is about a 93km long trail which follows old tracks and roads around the peninsula. This very accessible and is well signposted trail begins in the historic West Cork market town of Bantry then moving west along the north side of the peninsula to the headland of 'Muntervary' where you’ll find the Sheep’s Head lighthouse and breathtaking views northwards across Bantry bay to the Beara peninsula and south across Dunmanus bay to the Mizen peninsula and back east along the south coast of the peninsula. The route combines low and rugged hills with coastline and cliffs.
